Hi

I was made bankrupt in October,2008.Before that I was told that my Barclays account will be frozen if I'm declared bunkrupt(I have a new account with the co-operative bank now).To my amazement the bank still takes away the mothly payments for the loan and charges me for overdraft limit.I would like to add that the loan and the overdraft personal account is included in the SOA(statement of affair).When I contacted my official receiver I was told not to worry about it but I'm bit concerned.I'd appreciate any comments.

Thanks for the advice.I'll send the letter to my OR explaining the situation.And also I'm going to send a letrer to Barclays.They're a real pain in the back.Thanks again and all the best.

I would definitely send a copy of your BR order to the bank.

I had a problem with Littlewoods contacting me, but when I sent them a copy of my BR order I didn't hear from them again.

Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.

I also had this problem with Barclays - they were adding interest and charges on for a couple of months after my BR, however i let the OR know and also sent them a copy of the BR Order with a covering letter stating that they were not allowed to keep writing to me and any further letters would be classed as harassment....i didnt get any more after that

Too right! They keep doing this with IVA's as well, taking money out that they shouldn't.

I personally would write to the OR stating the current situation with thebank, and i would also send a copy of your BO with a covering letter to the bank telling them that as you are subject to a BO they should have closed this account. Your debt is covered by the BO so you have no worries on that score, but I would write to the bank as stated above so that you eliminate any nasty computer generated letters.
