Hi All,

Just a quick share of our experience that may help some of you in the same boat...

We have been preparring for BR for some months now and it looks like early next week will be the time.

2 things I would share - 1 - don't bury your head - if its going to happen then prepare, prepare, prepare - recognising the inevitable has given us ample time to sort housing, banking, a future and hopefully the more simple way of life we've craved. Don't hide from BR accept it and get a plan of action in place.

2 - creditors - this may only be our experience but - after ignoring the calls for a couple of weeks I've now spoken to these people and thus far they have all been 100% helpful - as soon as I've mentioned BR they go into a totally differet mode - no pay us pay us pay us - they just ask to be kept in touch and to ultimateley have contact with our OR - my Bank even thanked me for the update and apologised for the issues we are facing.

BR and the current climate is tough but you can get through it - its not a stigma - its becoming common place - its not a crime - its circumstance.

Its not the end - its the begining so make it the begining of something good - plan for the future.

Cheers

Tim

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger (I hope ;-)

Glad you could share this I must admit I do have my head buried in the sand but my experience is the opposite with creditors a lot have been very unhelpful to the point were I won't answer the phone or open my post and the worst thing that has come of it all is it has cost me my wife and family who I love dearly. But hopefully once I can get a list of all my creditors my online form can be completed and I will be able to move forward my advice would be please don't hide from this if I'd shared this with people long ago I could have made it a lot easier and saved a lot of heartache.

What a great post Tim, and I wholly agree with not burying your head with financial problems.

I hope you have a great debt free future.

The glimmer gets brighter all the time

Hi Tim

Im very pleased your date is nearly here and its not long now until your debt free journey begins.
