Hiya
we had a joint claim for tax credits, which started when we started our business and hubby worked part time. then business closed, then hubby went full time, then I started working part time as well. At this point, tax credits stopped. Since then, we've been given 4 seperate demands for different dates and different figures. two of these demands we submitted disputes over in october time. One they didnt notify us over (found out on phone the other day). The last we accepted (there was a change in the amount of hubby's income, and when renewal was done, it then showed we'd been overpaid).
So we thought we legitimately owed £1,500 ish. They have put the disputed bits on hold (because we hadnt heard since october, we thought this had been resolved). We had a payment arrangement for the £1,500 which we paid a couple of months, then couldnt make Jan's payment. It was when I rang the other day to pay by card towards this missed payment (which they took from my card before telling me the rest), that they say we actually (including disputed amounts) owe £6,082.
We no longer receive tax credits (it's just working tax creits as no kids), so they cant take it bit by bit that way.
Ok, sorry that was long. Questions:
1. on the SOA, do they go down as someone we owe to?
2. Do we put full amount, or the undisputed bit?
3. Are they going to say we claimed it fraudulently with the intent to go bankrupt, even though it was october we made the dispute? |

put the whole amount they are claiming at the end of the day it makes no difference as its all going into the bankruptcy.

Even though we are disputing some of the amount? So on the SOA, they go down for the full 6k? |

It would all be included in the bankruptcy as it is prior to the BO

no, I'm pretty certain they've messed it up (hence why we put in the disputes for the two we have in dispute). But they are so useless at explaining anything, and they told me to have it written and broken down in writing would take more than a fortnight. |

How many years were you claiming it for, was it claimed very recently? |
