Posted - 17 February 2009 : 17:52:49 Please Please can anyone help ive tried desperatly to open a bank account I lost my job back in december and have ended up on benefits (JSA) I have tried every possible way to open an account but keep getting declined.I need to open an account to pay of Direct Debits etc but cant seem to find anyone to take me due to a CCJ at my home address I have got a small income coming in from Job Seekers Allowance.I really cant understand what is going on.Is there any advice out there please help

Posted - 17 February 2009 : 20:50:16 The coop cashminder account is bankrupt-friendly and, presumably, friendly towards ccj's. Also, there is the Nationwide Cashbuilder account.

Posted - 17 February 2009 : 18:52:16 The Co-operative Cash Generator account is usually available to people as well as the Natwest Step account - just 2 to mention of many as all banks should offer a basic account to you.
