Well I finally had my OR interview yesterday afternoon, an hour and 20 mins!

The lady was really lovely and it seemed to go well.

The really positive thing about it was she actually seemed to be on my side which was a welcome relief.

She said my case was fairly strait forward and seemed ok so I may hear nothing (and thats good news) or I may get a phonecall and be invited for another interview.....ANOTHER?!

I didn't want to show my shock but the thought of any possibility of going through it again has left me feeling physically sick since yesterday.

Does anybody know how common a second interview is and under what minimum circumstances you would have to do it?

Please any and all replies welcome! I genuinely though yesterday would be the worst of it but a whole month of thinking I may or may not have to go back is terrifying me.

Do they now go away and scrutinise my bank statements through and through? I'm not sure what the process is after the OR interview.

Eagerly awaiting your replies!

Thank you,

Thats not as bad as I thought! I will sort the letter out now and definitely send recorded delivery.

The post I sent earlier (with duplicate question) hasn't popped up yet, I think there's a bit of a delay but please ignore it, my mind is most definitely at ease now.

:o)

Just get in touch with your mortgagee state that you have been made bankrupt as of... and that you wish to voluntary surrender the property back to them and provide the name and address of the OR who is dealing with your affairs - If you do not wish to do this in person ssend a letter (Recorded Delivery)to your mortgagee. In fact she was a bit strange with her advice the majority of people in your situation would not have infomred the mortgagee prior to the bankruptcy, and they will not take any action until at least 3 mortgage payments have been missed.

Thank you both!

Ironically she just called but she was absolutely lovely and said she was just safeguarding me really...

I was posting this question just as you were typing your replies I think!

I may need to call you Melanie if its more serious than it sounds but apparently I should have had my property reposessed before I attended court?? As I have only missed 3 payments and not been directly threatened with reposession my OR says I need to take that bit up myself before the property incurs any addittional maintenance costs etc that may not be included in BR...

She obviously cannot advise me on it but she says I need to sort it asap. Im TERRIFIED of calling the Halifax though in case they manipulate me into signing something I shoudn't..

I was told that they might need to speak to me again if they had any questions, but nothing ever came of it.

Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.

20 IPA payments made, 16 to go - on the home straight!

Hi there, glad it went okay for you, the staff are not that bade, everyone always thinks the worst!
She probably needed to go away have a look at the figures to see whether or not an IPO may be required, probably nothing to worry about, some like to give that proviso at the end, ' we may need to speak again...'just in case there's something they forgot! or need to have a further explanation on. Try not to worry too much
