Posted - 20 February 2009 : 13:18:21 there are loads to chose from now as all the companies are jumping onthe bandwagon! I suggest to people to look on the comparison site as that way they can weigh up the pros and cons of each provider and steer clear from the more expensive ones!

Posted - 20 February 2009 : 12:52:25 I've had an email from Virgin Money this morning and they now have a pay monthly card (£4.75 a month) as well as a pay as you go card.
Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.

Posted - 20 February 2009 : 12:27:45 If anyone reading this post is interested in the pre payment card - go to www.moneysupermarket.com and type in 'pre paid cards' and have a look at them there. They are invaluable to anyone trying to live on a restrcited budget whether they are subject to an IVA, bankruptcy or not, at least with the pre paid cards you are not running up debt! but can have the freedom to shop online etc

I agree with Melanie. I also have a pre paid Tuxedo card and it is invaluable when wanting to purchase on the internet.
Would not do without it

Posted - 20 February 2009 : 08:49:37 you would not have had to list it anyway as it is not a debt...silly billy!! many people take out these cards when they have been made bankrupt or in an IVA as they are an excellent way of managing the household monthly finances. You cannot get into debt with one of these pre paid cards, but have the advantage of being able to buy on line etc ......Oh God I can't imagine being unable to shop on ebay!!! for a number of years following my divorce it was the only way I could afford to dress my children!! without the use of a pre paid card how on earth would you buy on the internet? get it re-issued you will find it invaluable
