Posted - 25 February 2009 : 20:12:18 Hi everyone! Can you tell me if council tax can be included in my bankruptcy. I have nearly finished filling in my forms and im not sure if i can include it. Can you also tell me how long bankruptcy takes from when you hand in your form and pay your fee? The council tax bailiff is severely hassling me at the moment and he has given me till next week, then he will get a summons to remove goods. Any advice would be greatly appreciated Thankyou!

Posted - 25 February 2009 : 21:22:02 Council tax for the previous year can be included in your BR, and the current year can be included if you have received a final notice.
I found the following post by Zoe, which hopefully might help:

Posted - 25 February 2009 : 20:38:17 Is that a definite NO on the council tax? Can the court grant me extra time on my council tax debt or help in anyway? The bailiff will return to take goods next week and i obviously don't want that. |
