Hi

Just read somebody elses thread about an out of date letter to gain a reduced BK Fee at the court. I read somewhere any information to prove you are in receipt of certain benefits which will reduce your BK fee must not be more than a month old. However, half an hour ago I spoke to the courts to book my BK hearing which is for the 23 Mar 09 and told the lovely lady I spoke to that I had proof of working tax credit from Customs and Excise dated 2 Feb 09. She said this would be acceptable. However, this would make this proof of information 7 weeks old. What is right and what is wrong? Thanks Andy.

No you have to fully complete (you are given a ref number to enable you to go in and out of your forms as often as you like until you have completed)then you print them off

Thanks Melanie

The lady who took my call at the court and booked my date said she would send me a pack out. Very nice lady and did not treat me badly at all. She did however tell me that as I am filling out my forms on the insolvency website not to submit them electronically until you have printed them off otherwise you may not be able to print after you have submitted them. Dont know if this is true or relevant as I am still completing mine but just thought I would let people know.

I would double check with the court with regard to relevant dates on letters, it may be that the court on the particular thread you read may be a little bit pedantic, not all courts are so strict , but better to be safe than sorry. Have you applied for your bankruptcy pack - full detils re qualifying benefits etc are enclosed with the paperwork
