Posted - 28 February 2009 : 13:45:58 hi, well we've done it yesterday it was nerve racking but not that bad, the clerk was very helpful and efficient, I had a blonde moment though when swearing the affidavit when reading the card instead of saying my mame i read out (state your name), other half was laughing i could of killed him the clerk laughed as well though, the judge she was very nice and she was sympathetic when the tears appeared i thought my heart was going to come through my chest she was appologetic when she realised that she could have seen us together(we went in seperately hubs first), the usher was nasty and swore when i didn't know how to get out from the judges chambers and i was supposed to press the button and pull the door he mustn't have realised my hubby was in the waiting room and heard him, he was going to say something to him but didnt, maybes they shoud put a notice on the door saying press the button and pull the door. We havent spoke to the OR yet probably tues. then i cried most of the way home. Fri night i started to relax and i couldn't feel the knot that had been in my stomach for weeks, it had dissapeared and i was glad id got over that hurdle. Thankyou everybody for your help, advice and experiences im glad i found this site it has been a godsend. |

Posted - 01 March 2009 : 13:40:23 I'm glad it went ok for you.
Don't worry about reading out state your name - I did the same! I'm sure they must be used to it by now!

Posted - 28 February 2009 : 14:50:10 Glad you got through it ok, but you can do without rude ushers when you are in a state anyway. Obviously a jobs worth!
Good luck for the future.
