Posted - 02 March 2009 : 15:01:23 Hi Melanie,
Why would a domestic break not be allowed by the OR? I have read other people's I&E lists and they have been succesful in getting this allowance. I have put it in my I&E in the hope that I'll get it, although the amount I have asked for is £30 per month.
Confused now.

Posted - 02 March 2009 : 13:20:54 so will I have to reduce my housekeeping also?! I can see I'm gonna get an IPA and not be able to afford it because they wont accept the costs I have. |

Posted - 02 March 2009 : 09:31:14 The allowance is a maximum of £21 per household for food insurance etc of pets, not per pet

I included pet food in my housekeeping. I guess I'll have to take the insurance off them, as if I get an IPA, I definately cant afford to have them insured :( |

Posted - 01 March 2009 : 13:34:17 I didn't have a cat when I went BR, but when I have mi I & E reassessed in April (pay cut at work) I'm going to claim £20 for him - £12 insurance per month and the rest for his food.

Posted - 01 March 2009 : 12:02:07 We have 2 cats, the pet insurance per month is £20 for both and food/litter about another £20.
The maximum allowed is £20, not PER PET, but overall, so we had to pay the insurance out of surplus. |

Posted - 01 March 2009 : 10:25:55 Don't worry and just fill it in. My OR just went through, questioned a couple of things, and ticked what she allowed. You could play with it for 10 years, better to just do it and wait and see :)
