Is the following ok for my statement?

I ran up debts over a period of time putting my youngest daughter through school and university following my divorce. I also helped her set up home as she was unable to obtain finance of her own with the understanding that she the paid the debts. Unfortunately she became pregnant and her husband lost his job and so was unable to keep up the payments.

Further debts were incurred due to my having to look after my elderly parents and their subsequent funerals.

Following my retirement through ill health in 2004, my oldest daughter paid my monthly payments as she was in a well paid job herself. Unfortunately she divorced and moved to Australia in November 2007 and was no longer able to contribute. Regrettably I began to gamble online which has only proved to make my debts worse.

My other children have contributed where they can but with cutbacks in their own lives they are no longer able to help.

As a pensioner, my pension does not cover my bills and I am unable to look for work due to arthritis and ongoing depression.

After spending most of 2008 juggling the various debts between various credit cards and transferring balances, I decided to approach the CAB for advice in November 2008 and January 2009. With the help of the CAB I tried to make reduced offers to my creditors but without much success. The RBS have insisted that they will continue to take bank loan repayments out of my current account which has only put me more and more overdrawn each month. The CAB have advised that I pursue bankruptcy.

The statement is fine - when did the period of gambling occur? have you ceased gambling?if so and it was a whils ago (over a year) I would leave it out - Or are you seeking help for gambling, if so make sure you mention it they like to see you are seeking help
