Hi,

I have never been so sad to receive money as I was today. Unfortunately I worked too hard last year and have been awarded a 4% pay rise, and 6.5K bonus, 3K of which will be in shares held in trust on my behalf which I can't touch for 3 years.

I receive this on April 26th and get discharged the next month.

My question is how do I deal with this from an IPA/asset perspective? Can I tell them within 20/30 days (right on the eve of discharge), and still be in accordance with the rules...or does this have no impact whatsoever and if I tell them the day before discharge they can pursue the monies at their leisure over the next 5 years.

I ask because when I went in for a BRO interview, the examiner led me to believe that if they hadnt dealt with the assets in the 12 months, then that was that - but that is not what I read in the insolvency web site. I listed 6K of shares held in trust in my SOA, and haven't had them taken off me yet. They arent actually listed in my name at Lloyds, but are held by a third party in trust for me. If I get to discharge are these safe....? Will the shares I receive in April be safe? Will they not pursue these as I am not named as the owner on a share register anywhere? Will they take all of the cash component of my bonus as part of the IPA (70%) or as an asset (all)? Is there any benefit in declaring these late?

Sorry for the questions, just trying to work ouot if we can afford a summer holiday this year.

Regards

i

Hi,

I have emailed Brett, but I know he is busy and often this forum can be quicker when you have questions flying around your head.

Thanks
