I used 440 of my overdraft for both our fees, havent spoken to the OR yet, but I cant see I can do owt abou it. I cant say I relly thought about it very much, we max ou the overddraft every single month for the entire time we've had it....

thanks so much for replying everyone, was feeling really alone. im going to have to take a chance and take the money off the credit card. these debts are ruining my life and its the only way out that i can see as advised by an insolvency person - i had 15 mins help for free, and was advised to go bankrupt. struggling with the rest on mi own. hope it gets better.

We had to use our £1000 overdraft for the 2 fees, the OR never mentioned it, we had no choice really and compared to our overall debt, it was peanuts

Hi jjp

It should not be done, but I don't suppose you will be the first or the last to do this in order to get the fees together. The OR will probably raise an eyebrow, but the amount is not significant enough on its own to cause you any problems.

It would be wrong to incur credit prior to filing for bankruptcy for whatever reason, and you would run the risk of a BRO (Bankruptcy Restriction Order which can extend the length of your bankruptcy) for incurring credit when you knew you had no intention of paying. Make an appointment with your local citizens advice bureau - there are schemes run by variousutility companies which will fund the whole cost of the bankruptcy fee for those on low incomes (evidence of ebenfits etc required)its worth making an appointment with them to see if you qualify
