Hello, I have a query on my I&E.

Do I put the total household income, or do I put simply my share? I will be living with my partner, and have just worked out what my share of all expenditure will be.

Presuming I put only what I need to pay her, here is my expenditure. Can you tell me what you think?

Housekeeping 217.00
Gas/Electric 29.00
Water 16.50
Telephone inc mobile 34.00
Travel 65.00
Clothing 40.00
Council tax 60.00
TV Licence 5.50

Hi

no, being in a minus situation with your I&E would not be a problem. Re the health ins - list it as an expense and then add £33 in the other contributions to the household question in section 6.

At interview explain the situation and all should be ok.

The personal pension contributions need to be frozen for now and may resume post discharge if you are not by then in an IPA.

Thanks John, very useful help.

My expenditure sits around £770. My income is going to be around £705 once my hours change. Is the negative figure going to be a problem for the OR?

One other question. I currently pay towards a pension. I guess this needs cancelling?

I also opt into a health insurance through work. This is a deduction of £33 or so each month so it covers my partner (mine's free). I can't cancel this until April, now. Will it be a problem? My partner can pay me for it, but I don't want it to be an issue on the I&E!

Hi

you can complete this ection either way, as a household or as an individual claiming your share of the expenditures.

If you wish to list just your share remember to enter NIL as other contributions as your partners income should not be included if you are choosing this way.

Domestic break could be £20 and you have not mentioned vehicle costs, if you have one.
Meals at work £50 (£2.50 per working day), housekeeping may be cut to around £195, and you could add dry cleaning at £10.
You can also add pet costs if you have any but you may have to evidence any claims for pet insurance cover.
