Posted - 19 March 2009 : 16:14:13 Hi i went BR in oct 09. I still have not had my NT code applied. I send FEB payslip to moonbever as they keep requesting.
They replied with " we regognise that there is no NT code applied yet" then went on to say " please could you ask your employer to apply the NT code as they would of heard from the inland rev by now"
I am not asking them as then they will what to know why etc. Is this just a last ditch attempt at getting the code applied so i can pay them. I only got the letter last friday and i get paid on the 25th so its too late as my wages would have already been done.
Does this mean that if its not in my march payslip, the matter will be closed as its a new tax year the next time i get paid.
I just want one less thing to worry about
Thanks |

Posted - 24 March 2009 : 16:06:36 well got my final wage slip for this tax year and NO NT code.
so i have wrote to moonbever advising them to contact OR about this to see if any instruction had been sent to the Inland rev as i have never had received a letter from them sayaing my code was changing. As John advised.
Should this be the end of the matter of the NT code for me. Or will i have to do anything else. Just want one thing less to worry about.
any advise Thanks |

Posted - 19 March 2009 : 20:10:29 That's an understatement Paul! When I spoke to the woman at the RTLU she didn't sound surprised when I said that they were unhelpful. Every time I had to phone Clarke Willmott they were polite and helpful, the opposite of Moon Beaver. If I have any IPA problems in future I'll go straight to the RTLU and let them deal with Moon Beaver.

Posted - 19 March 2009 : 19:47:54 Hi
from what a lot of folk have said the switch from Clark Willmot & Clark to Moonbeaver has " not been as smooth as it might".
They are quite experienced at debt collection but this is an entirely different matter - even some of the OR staff smile when you discuss them!

Posted - 19 March 2009 : 19:19:42 Thanks john and skippy.
I will write that in the letter when i send the march payslip.
I have never had a letter from the inland rev to say i will be getting a NT code so perhaps its the OR's fault.
thanks again

Posted - 19 March 2009 : 17:01:55 To be blunt, Moon Beaver are useless! I contacted them recently as I'm having to take a pay cut from April and I wanted to know what to do. I was told I couldn't have a new I & E form until I knew what I would be taking home and that I would need a letter from my employer as well as my new pay slip so they could see what my new salary will be. I was also told that I would have to put my April payment aside until it had been reassessed.
I was so annoyed I phoned the RTLU, who said all of the above is rubbish and they have sent me a new I & E and informed MB that April's payment, however much it is, will be late or missed completely. They also spoke to me as though I was a human being, unlike MB.
Clarke Willmott were so much better!

Posted - 19 March 2009 : 16:46:55 Hi
you will not get an NT tax code now for the reasons you are aware of.
Moonbeever have a bl***y cheek!!! It would be in your best interest to be polite so write and explain that you do not wish to follow their request and advise them that they should contact the OR to see if any instruction for an NT code was ever sent to the inland revenue. They should then contact inland revenue to see if they have messed up. If they have then it is the Inland Revenue that have the money that would have gone towards your NT based IPA so Moonbeever can jolly well claim it from them.If it was your employers that messed up the Inland Revenue have still had the funds.
