Hello,

I wonder if someone could answer this question for me please?

I was declared BK 2 weeks ago and although I am in contact with my OR, she has not yet arranged an IPO for me. Would I be able to use any disposable income I have to spend, for example, on a short holiday to Scotland, in the meantime until the IPO is agreed and set up? I don't want it to look as though I am spending unnecessarily, but as I will have around £350 DI next month (which I expect to pay as IPO in May or whenever) I assume it will be okay for me to spend this any way I want until then. Am I right in thinking this?

I did put down £30 for Domestic break on the SOA, but whether I will get this remains to be seen. I am a single male. Speaking with the OR a few days ago though I got the impression that she didn't have a problem with the I&E I had provided on the SOA. I suppose I will have to wait until I receive proper confirmation that all is accepted.

As the previous post mentioned, at the end of the day it depends on the individual OR.

We are a family of 5 and were allowed nothing for a holiday/break, it depends on the OR

Surely the figure you are allowed for a holiday would depend on whether you were single or had a family? I was allowed £20 for myself.

Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.

In addition also make sure that when you negotiate your Income Payments Agreement you fully make use of allowances for such things as holidays, as you may be able to get 80 a month allowed for an annual holiday going forward.

Thanks for confirming that, John.

Hi

yes your IPA will run for 3 years from the date it is set up. Any disposable monies you have from your income prior to the IPA are yours to use as you will.
