Posted - 20 March 2009 : 12:24:43 Can anyone tell me whether I've already had the interview with my OR yet please or whether anyones had similar experiences? I went bankrupt over 2 weeks ago and my OR first contacted me by phone a week later. She went through some financial things with me such as bank details, how much debt I had, etc. This took about half an hour. A week later she phoned again and spoke a bit more about my debt and how long I had gambled and how much, etc and informed me about my car. This talk lasted again about half an hour. What I would like to know is, is that the 'interview' or can I expect another phone call at further length. I haven't received any forms from the OR as regards my I&E yet, although she said she would be sending these in the next few days and I would also need to send her my various cc statements. I'm a bit confused and it seems as though I'm having lots of small phone calls rather than having 1 long one and getting it all over and done with. I don't think mine is a particularly complex case to be honest.
Anyone had similar experience?
Thanks

Posted - 20 March 2009 : 15:07:04 Thanks Melanie and apologies for so many questions. You would have thought I would stop now I am bankrupt, but they still seem to pop up every now and again. Hopefully once my IPO and BRU have been arranged I can finally start to relax and get on with my life. It's been a turmultuous few months and I have learned so much in such a short time, all thanks to you and many others on this site.
I'm spending the weekend with my mum, for mother's day, although I think it will be a case of helping her with household chores instead of flowers or chocolates. Maybe next year I will finally be able to treat her properly and thank her for all the support and financial help she has given me over the past few months.
Have a good weekend too Melanie.

Posted - 20 March 2009 : 14:59:41 I told you before hand not to worry - you were building it up in your head to be some massive thing but in reality its just to establish how you got in your situation - not difficult at all. You will be having a follow up chat though with regard to the BRO, but you are aware of that. Another milestone over with, onwards and upwards..have a good weekend and try to chill!

Posted - 20 March 2009 : 14:55:50 Really? Thanks Melanie. I thought the interview would have been more delving than it was. All the OR asked was how I had incurred most of the debts and over what period of time. No really intrusive questions. I was prepared for it to be really intensive and if that was the interview, then I am really pleased it wasn't as tough as I thought it would be. Just a bit strange the interview took place before the OR has looked at my statements though as I would've thought until they have a look at these, they can't really ask any questions as to why I have spent the amounts when I did and for what. I guess I will just have to wait until I receive the I&E from the OR and the information on what to do with the car.

Posted - 20 March 2009 : 12:30:32 Youur interview has taken place, you can be assured of that, this does though as you experiences sometimes take place over 2 or 3 short calls rather than 1 long call, your next step is to do the Inc & Exp forms and agree your IPO/BRU etc
