Posted - 22 March 2009 : 18:25:57 Just posted my fist question for Melanie.n I notice it has been read by others and thought I would just add that any support anyone could offer or kind words would be really appreciated from anyone I wasnt being offhand with any forum members or excluding, its just that I have been following M answers and was reaching out really for some comfort or nerve steadiers. I am ashamed of my situation and not looking for someone else to take the can for me or pat me on back or say poor you etc etc... This whole thing and a great numbr of other stressful things have got me to this point of illness and unhappiness. Thanks |

Posted - 23 March 2009 : 12:31:06 Hi Melanie, Many, many thanks for your supportive words and factual advice. I guess I will manage whatever is thrown my way, once I have done it will hopefully be able to sleep again and rebuild my life and health so if its face to face then thats what it will be. I have as much info for the OR as I can find will have completed the online form and have paid my debts up till the BR petition being served on me so in theory an interview should be just about manageable, it will mean a 7 hour round trip for me as my mother lives in a different county to where I was living and the court in which I must attend but if its once and over with I guess its a blessing. I could ask my Drs to write a letter explaining my state of mind but I think this will only serve to prolong things as I am know the OR just wants to find the facts and do their job properly not to judge me or make things emotionally difficult for me. I have nothing to give, no income and ill health, so I guess its straight forward in legal terms, No blood from a stone. |

Posted - 23 March 2009 : 08:32:54 Hi there
I have responded to your other posts and the beauty of this forum is others will always join in to share their personal experiences of going through the process. Part of the role of myself and other experts on here together with some excellent forum members such as kallis & skippy to name just two - is to provide on one hand answers to queries to help people in a time of need, but I think that a far more important role is played by each of us in 'sharing the burden and worry of the debt' many people have not confided in family or friends and we are here to be of support and help - often people just need to know someone is out there who understands, and if this helps someone, whether starting on the journey, through or during the process then I know the time and efforts I put in are worth it

Hi Charliebucket and welcome to the forum :)
Just think, you're nearly there, you are honestly over the worst of it. You will be amazed how much better you feel afterwards, although don't be worried if it isn't instant. It can take a few days for everything to sink in.
I haven't answered any of your questions as I'm not an expert, but wanted you to know you're not alone xx
