Hi,

I will start to pay my first IPO payment at the beginning of April (made bankrupt on 6th March, although I was hoping for a month's grace before starting the IPO) and I wondered how you go about making this payment. The OR hasn't given me any information on how this payment is to be made. Do I set up a direct debit or do I send a cheque, cash each month to the OR? I also need to send them a cheque for the car and again, the OR has not told me who I should make this payable to. Oddly they also ommitted the amount to be paid, although we did verbally agree on an amount of £100.

Any suggestions?

I would just wait until they contact you - you might get an extra month after all! Moon Beaver are in the process of (unfortunately) taking over all existing IPAs from Clarke Willmott, so they are probably snowed under at the moment.

One thing I would say is when they contact you make sure that all the details on the forms are correct - when they contacted me re the change they had date of the next payment wrong.

I would think that was the same Moon Beaver, as they are a firm of solicitors.

Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.

21 IPA payments made, 15 to go - on the home straight!

After speaking with my OR this morning, she informed me that Moon Beever would be dealing with my IPO payments and just to send her back the forms agreeing to this amount. I assume Moon Beever will then contact me, although if the payment is due on 1st April, they'll have to get a move on if they want me to set up a direct debit in time. Coincidentally, I went out for a walk at lunchtime and went passed a building which had a business plaque on it saying 'Moon Beevers' Solicitors for Oaths, which seemed a really strange coincidence. Do you think this is the same Moon Beevers? Just curious really.

I was told by the OR to wait until their collection agents contacted me. You should get a letter from a company called Moon Beever (being childish the name makes me snigger!) and they will give you details of how and when to pay. I pay them by standing order.
