Hello,

I wonder if anyone could advise me on this issue please?

I am expecting a payment for backpay which should amount to a one off payment of £100 at the end of this month. Will I need to inform the OR of this and if so, will they take this away from me? Also my pay will probably increase by about £30 from next month, will I need to let the OR know about this too and will it alter my IPO payments. I hope not as this is such a small amount.

Thanks

I would notify them of the pay rise, but not the back dated info (regardless of the amount - I would decide that this was back pay from prior to the bankruptcy so therefore mine!!) wait until Moon Beaver get in touch with you ate some point as administors of the IPO payments and then let them know of the pay rise

Hello Melanie,

My first IPO payment is due on 1st April and the pay I receive on 1st April will include my backpay and my new pay rise, so I am not sure what my new monthly pay will be as my payslip will also include the backpay this month. I think it will be in the region of an extra £30 (wow, so generous) a month. For such a small amount will I still need to inform the OR of the new pay rise? As you say, I will not mention the backpay as it is likely to be a small amount. Obviously if it turns out to be a few hundred pounds, then I will inform the OR of this. Does that sound sensible?

When do you start paying your IPO?
I would inform them of any pay rise when it actually received and when the IPO is in place, but to be honest there is no need to inform them of the back payment, it is not a massive amount so there is no need to let them know.
