Posted - 30 March 2009 : 14:49:31 My friend went bankrupt nearly two years ago, and has been overdrawn three times with her HSBC account - they are now closing it.
Co-op won't allow her to open one with them - are there any other banks she can go to or can she challenge HSBC?

Have the Co-op given any reasons why they won't open an account? They are usually very BR friendly.
Not sure which other banks are ok. The only thing she can do is try, and it might be better to go into the branch rather than try and do it online.
