Hi All,

I went BR yesterday and have my Co-Op account for salary etc but thought I also wanted a savings account with Link Card. I have just opened a Yorkshire Building Society Internet Saver Account and it got accepted on-line straight away. I have my account number and was able to transfer the initial £1 deposit from my co-op account. I have also set up a standing order to save £40 per month from my co-op over to this Yorkshire Account, I hope this will help anyone that would like a savings account.

Good news though Maize

I have promised myself this is the start of my new life and I will never borrow again so I start as I mean to go on and save for what I need.

Just to add to this thread, Abbey also do an internet savers account which I use. As with Yorkshire Building Society, the only requirement is that you put in £1 in the first instance and it can only be used to do internet transfers, you then get a cash card to withdraw the money.
