I went BK yesterday. Can anyone tell me how quickly this information is placed in the local papers as well as the natinal papers, from the date of your BK Order.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and encouragement. Like you all said at the end of the day, in the big scheme of things, this is a very small thing, should not be losing sleep over this. |

I have never seen my notice and I went bankrupt about 18 months ago, I have looked every week, but its not been in but I really don't care if it were in. Hubby was in a panic cos his name was in the other week, he did not want anyone at his work to see it, and I understand that, but I, for one, could not give 2 figs if anyone saw mine, I have far more important things to think about  |

That was something that worried me, but to be honest it was no big deal. I don't think anyone actually saw it, and if they did they didn't mention it to me.
Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.

I am the stage of S xxx it. Having previously thought that this was the end of the world. Does it really matter in the great scheme of things. Any gossip will only be a 7 day wonder.

I have just spotted myself in tonight's local paper. I was declared BR on 23 March. It is really tiny but let's see if anyone mentions it at work tomorrow..... (Don't care if they do. x)

I will check up on this in the next week or so. The bankruptcy clerk /admin official at my local Court ,told me that as of the 5/6th April the rules are changing. BR will still be advertised in London Gazette but not necessarily in the local papers. He asked me and suggested that I might want to wait a couple of weeks as in future it will be at the discretion of the local OR whether to advertise locally and that will depend on whether it is in local interest re creditors to advertise locally.

I saw that as well. It was some official at the court apparantly who mentioned it.
Don't know if it is correct or not.

I have seen on the IVA sight that someone has noted laws are changing as of next week and they wont automatically appear in papers....not sure if this is defo the case? |

it differs from area to area but it will not appear in any national newspapers.
Some Official Receivers offices only advertise once per month others more often.
