Posted - 31 March 2009 : 19:57:40 Is it possible with medical evidence/support to request the OR examines your case at an earlier date than that set? I have today contacted the OR office and it seems that I can not get a date until 28th Aprilfor my examination interview, it is possible the clerk has told me that the examiner may be able to give me a telephone interview but nothing certain which is fine but I must wait until I am contacted which may be some time during the next two weeks, due to extreme medical concerns I do not wish to disclose on an open forum the time delay is something that can not be left. Can an expert advise the route I need to take to at least get to speak directly to my OR and the possibility of getting things brought forward even if that requires a court request backed by my medical specialists. This is now an urgent request for advice. Thank you in advance I will be able to discuss further if necessary with an expert via email should fth info be required. |

Posted - 01 April 2009 : 12:36:21 Many thanks John, my husband called the office and spoke to the examiner before getting this message they are unable to change things apparently but that was not speaking to the OR although I guess my examiner may be the OR or deputy she said really booked up due to easter hols etc but they would call me if they had a cancellation lets hope my health holds up in the meantime unlikely at the moment! Thank you for all your help |

Posted - 01 April 2009 : 08:06:32 Hi
There is only one OR at each office plus one or more deputy(s). Then there are B3, B2 and B1 examiners plus administration clerks. You need to speak directly to either the OR or a deputy.
I do not for one minute feel that if your request for an earlier interview is granted that it will in any way rebound on you.

Posted - 31 March 2009 : 22:10:16 Sorry more questions John, my husband asked me to clarify as he is going to talk to the office. Should he try to talk to the examiner assigned to my case or the actual OR who is noted a the office. As you will know there is the clerk who does the admin, the examiner assigned to my case and of course the actual titled OR who I guess doesnt necessarily deal with the case, or am I wrong and each examiner is actually an OR in title? Either way please if you are able clarify to whom it is best to try and speak with it would be much appreciated. I am also now worried two fold as now as well as my health concerns I worry that by trying to alleviate one worry/health issue by bringing the interview forward I will rock the boat and possibly receive not so impartial treatment as I will have asked for an earlier interview and annoy the examiner/OR although my reasons are beyond the usual nerves one would expect, anticipate and endure when facing this stressful situation. If anyone else reading has any personal experience I would also appreciate comments Many thanks- sorry for so many posts asking. |

I should call the OR's office and state that you need to discuss the matter urgently with either the OR himself or his deputy.
