Posted - 01 April 2009 : 10:48:56 Hi
I've just had a call from the OR about my interview, which will be next week. I have to say, altho he was very polite, the young man hasn't made me feel very confident. If I'm honest he sounded like he was fresh out of uni or whatever and couldn't really express himself very well on the telephone. I must admit I had hoped for someone with a little more life experience.
I am trying to be open minded, but if I feel he is not handling things properly, am I able to request a change? |

Posted - 01 April 2009 : 11:09:53 I would not have thought this would be necessary or indeed that the request would be accepted by the office. Regardless of the age of the examiner he will be well trained in his job and they all go through a very indepth long training process where every step is monitored and you would be dealt with no different than if you were dealt with by an examiner with many years under his belt. To be honest the 'fresher' they are the better as they are not jaded by the job! and he will be able to answer all your concerns or queries competantly.
If you felt that you had been delt with inappropriately or indeed someone had been rude or derelict in their duties you would be able to make a request to speak to someone else, but if this is not the case i would stick with who you have. Every case is always reviewed by the Assistant Official Receiver, who the examiner reports to, so you can be confident that your case will be progressed correctly
