I am currently on a debt management plan and have been for the past 6 years. I currently owe around 40k, and am paying £147 per month to the debt management company. I have not been in employment since January 2007 when my maternity leave ended and have been paying the monthly debt management fee using tax credits and money from my partner who works full time. He has now said I cannot use the tax credits to pay this, and we have moved all tax credit payments to go into his bank account. I am thinking bankruptcy is my only option now. What would happen with regards to accounts I hold if I declare myself, for example BT accounts, Sky etc?

Why have you moved the tax credits into his account? I'm a bit confused tbh. Is your partner wanting you to go bankrupt?
