Posted - 11 April 2009 : 10:32:22 I had a phone interview, and yes, I received some documents to sign and return, which I did, but they did not need witnessing |

Posted - 11 April 2009 : 09:04:59 They probably asked you to sign several documents when you were there along with the statement.

Posted - 10 April 2009 : 15:56:55 Probably best going to the CAB - by the time you post the docs to the IP and get them back you will probably have missed your 14 day window ( the OR does everything in 14 day blocks it seems)
Gally, suprised that you have not received the forms, did you have a face to face interview as they are often handed out in person then ?

The forms that are being discussed are the forms received from the OR after you have petitioned.
there are 3 lots of forms that arrive within 2 weeks.
1. Purjory act 2. authority to speak to the tax man 3. ethnic monitoring form
these can be witnesed by anyone that knows you

Posted - 10 April 2009 : 14:29:28 Hi
its part of the procedure as it goes to the courts, basically its a compliance thing like you wont take out more than £500 unsecured debt, you will inform future creditors of br, you will inform your or of any windfalls or changes to income and exp, etc

No, 2Stressed is right. I had to have mine signed by a witness too. It's definitely part of the procedure. |

Posted - 10 April 2009 : 13:37:46 Blimey! I seem to have all the duff luck. The form says "can be witnessed by friend or family" I explained to OR on phone that would be problematic but he said it has to be done. I guess I could try CAB or the company I took debt advice. |

Posted - 10 April 2009 : 12:52:24 If you don't want your friends or family to witness it you could always go to a solicitor but they would probably charge you or does it have to be witnessed by someone who has known you for a certain length of time? |
