John

I wonder if you can help, I had a stay of advertisement and my address was withheld therefore none of my creditors know where I am living. Now that I am discharged I have the stressful task of contacting the creditors and getting them to amend my credit file to satisfied.

How do I contact them and get them to amend their records without disclosing my new address information?

Also what is the difference between partially satisfied and satisfied?

I could always use my previous address, where I obtained the credit and the address that they have as I still have family there. I was also going to include a copy of the insolvency website print out which states address withheld by the courts. Would this be ok?

Hi

the only other suggestion I have is to use a c/o address when writing to the creditors and make it clear why in your letter.

Basically the only people that know my address are my parents, three close friends, police and OR. I would really like to keep it that way if possible.

Hi maizie

I assume the stay was not applied for due to creditor pressure but something far more personal or professionally related.

On the face of it therefore is there any reason to assume that divulging your current address to creditors could compromise you in any way?

Partially satisfied means just that, some but not all of the debt was settled.
Satisfied, strangely, means the same thing as "settled" would normally indicate payment in full.
