Posted - 16 April 2009 : 10:12:41 Hi, I am just filling in the required forms for the BR.
I have quite a few current accounts, most of them with no money in and no debt with them. I was hoping to keep at least one open with a basic service (cashcard). What would happen if I didnt declare one of these accounts?
Regards.

Posted - 16 April 2009 : 18:03:36 You should enter the details of all of the accounts even if they don't have debts associated with them. The OR will publish the BR details in the London Gazette and financial institutions always read this paper.
When you petition for BR you will also be advised that if you are not completely honest it will be considered purgery and you don't want this to add to your troubles.
If you want to keep one of the accounts after BR then speak to the bank and advise them of your circumstances and what you would like to do. Some banks will freeze your accounts and some won't.
