hi. i am looking to go br in a couple months. i have a motorcycle but am not the owner only the registered keeper because i could not insure and tax it with my ex on the log book. it is 11 years old and should be worth around £1000 but i came off it and its not perfect so is now only worth around £500. would the or let me keep this as i have no other transport and cannot afford anything.

Hi

if you need the bike or work purposes you will be able to keep it. If you can prove by way of purchase invoice or the owner's bank statement that ownership is not yours then the bike cannot be claimed whether you need it for work or not.

If you do not work and you have no evidence of the 3rd party ownership it could be an issue.

If the motorcycle is your means of transport, and with the value of the motorcycle taken into account, there is no reason why you would not be able to keep the motorcycle
