I am flabberghasted i have been looking at my local court bankruptcy listings 75 a day and about 15 adjoument petition does anyone why that may happen..

75 a day sounds a lot but the court may cover a large area. From your other posts I think you are going to be petitioning in Newcastle court so this could well have a large population associated with it.

The adjournments will probably only occur if:

- There isn't enough time to hear that case on the day so it will be moved to the next/another day
- It may be that more information is required by the judge before he can make a decision. I can imagine some company BR need to be looked at very closely by the judge to make sure that the company isn't just going BR to avoid paying their creditors.
