Posted - 09 May 2009 : 20:29:45 Hiya. I have a debt of around 11000 with one creditor. ive been trying to pay this debt for 4 years since my divorce. my husband use to help me with this, now im doing it solely. im a single parernt work full time, just cannot afford to pay it. i pay someof the payments which i agreed with creditor. even that is making me struggle. Would bankrupty be the best option, i cannot see any way out of this. i rent my house privately, have no car. Bankrupt is a scary word, |

Posted - 09 May 2009 : 22:15:38 Hi,
If you do not have a disposable income of over £50 a month after your bills have been paid, you may be suitable for the new Debt Relief Order which came out last month. For that you need to have no assets over £300, disposable income of less than £50 a month and a debt of under £15,000.
Give CAB a ring as they will be able to advise you on this.
The glimmer gets brighter all the time
