Posted - 13 May 2009 : 14:23:34 I am a non UK resident. I have taken a loan of 25 K, of which repaid 6K. I am unable to pay any further due to pay cut in my home country. I have no UK income or asset. What are the possible consequences of non payment? Will I be able to come and work in UK without any problem? My empoyer has office in UK too and had introduced me to the bank for account opening. Could my employer be contacted by the bank? This will risk my job and I will loose even the little income. Can you please address, how do I avoid any problems? I cannot travel to UK for any formalities like IVA, BR, court summons..etc

You can either come to the UK yourself (you petition at the High Court in London) or use a 3rd party company to petition for you.
There aren't any appointments for the High Court, you just turn up on the day and everything is completed on the same day.
