I have just received email notification from Egg that they have issued a Default Notice which could lead to Attahcment of Earnings, A Charging Order or a visit from Baliffs.
I am now really panicing as my husband and I wont have fees together until around August.
We have a house (mortgage still being paid) which is in negative equity which we wanted to keep by getting friend to buy BI. What happens re Egg getting a charging order??
How about an attachment of earnings
Can all this be done b4 we get to petition for BR?
Worried.

Posted - 19 May 2009 : 22:54:08 These are proberly treats designed to encourage you to pay.My wife was treatened like this for months.She had 3 accounts with credit card companies and they have all sold the debt to other collection companies.I think they have to first issue a ccj against you which you would be able to offer what you could afford and the interest would stop.If they ask for a charging order you can speak to the court and providing you have offered what you can afford the court will most likely refuse them.Hope this helps but this is only our experence.
