HUbby went BR Dec 08 and today I have just been offered the BI for £1 plus fees. I have a query though, on the letter it says "There are some other points to consider. The proposed purchaser will need to employ his/her own soliciotr or licensed conveyancer to act for him/her in the transaction. My soliciotrs cannot act for the proposed purchaser"
Does this mean I will have to pay out additional legal fees? Thanks

Posted - 21 May 2009 : 19:00:26 i don't think you have to have your own solicitor but you can if you want, i think they just have to advise you that they are acting for the OR not you. it is not normal to require your own solicitor in case like this
