Hi
Just wondered if anyone knew if my Mum would need to pay for a Solicitor when buying the BI in my house. I know we have to pay the fees for the OR plus £1 because of Negative Equity.
Has anyone on the forum bought the BI or know anyone who has.
I'm concerned that the amount to pay is going to rise if Solicitors fees are added.

There is light at the end of the tunnel, I can actually see it !!!!

Hi Slippery, may i ask is the £212 to buy just one half of the BI would it be 2* £212 for someone to buy all the BI when a couple has been made BR or is it £211 + £1 + £1. We are both BR and wanting to do the same thing so was just wondering, Thanks (good luck wellerchic)x

hi
my mum paid for my b/i and i was in Negative Equity and all she paid was the 212 and left it to the O/R Solicitors to remove the mark on the land registry which they did at no extra cost
you then get a letter to confirm the removal and its all done.
it was very easy
