Can I ask you how much you are allowed to put on your rental income as reasonable. We have to be close to my daughters school and renting in this area is not cheap, we have found somewhere for £800 a month it is for a 3 bedroomed house for 2 ad and 2 chd will they look at this as excessive?

If the compensation is for bodily injury i.e. whiplash in a car accident, etc. then you are allowed to keep it but should inform the OR anyway. The OR may be allowed to claim the loss of earnings part of the compensation although I am not 100% sure.

Hi

You will have to inform them, and im not sure but I think it is seen as a windfall and therefore has to goto your Official reciever.

Thank you for your response. Do you know if after the bankrupcy court hearing we recieve a cheque for a Personal Injury Claim which includes a loss of earnings claim. Will they take this money or am I allowed to keep it?

Do I have to inform them? Im not sure on the rules?

HI

Each ORs office look at things slightly differently, their are guidelines from the insolvency website to have a look at.

If However you have evidence to prove that the home you are looking at is the cheapest available and that reasonable transport isnt available to a different location then I would provide that with your petition.

Best of Luck
