hi all im wondering if i can get some advice please, our repossesion haring is due in court on thursday and we are not contesting it, we moved into rented 6 months ago when we went BR, i thought i best just phone the courts to confim thet we didnt need to attend, and was told that we are supposed to attend ! has anyone else had this before and what did you do ???

It can take a while, if you do not contest the hearing this week, the judge will probably grant the Possession Order there and then to the mortgage company but the mortgage company have to then apply for a Warrant of Execution and from there, by law, you have to be given 28 days notice of when the locks will be changed. All this took months in our case. |

awww is that what will happen next thenre the notice in the window ? we still collect our children after school from outside the old house, as 2 are at secondry and 1 still at primary and ts bang in the middle of the 2 and a good meeting point, so how longdoes ittake the baliffis to go and change locks etc :-(

I know, I was so embarrassed too. In fact, on the day, they came and changed the locks, I parked up the street in my car early in the morning and watched them.
They sent about 5 bailiffs, who banged the door down, turned off the electric/gas/water, put a notice in the window and changed the locks 
How shaming. I sometimes see some of the neighbours whilst shopping, I just put my head down and pretend I have not seen them |

thanks jane thats how i feel and to be honest i dont want the embarressment of it all, its been hard enough loosing our home without having salt rubbed into the wounds !

I was in the same situation and I did not attend, in fact, I couldn't as I was not even in the country, oops!
You only need to go and contest it if you want to keep the house.
If not, why waste your time?? |
