I HAVE RECENTLY DECLARED MYSELF BANKRUPT& AM CONSIDERING A CO OP CASHMINDER ACCOUNT HOWEVER THEY ARE ONE OF THE CREDITORS I OWE £10000 TO. IF I OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM COULD THEY SEIZE ANY MONEY IN THE ACCOUNT.

If you are already declared BR then the £10k has been written off and the Co-op will deal with it via the OR rather than with you.

As Kallis mentioned they may refuse you the account if they are one of your creditors so you may need to look elsewhere for a bank account. Yorkshire bank and Think banking are BR friendly.

Hi,

I don't think they will seize any money, but they may not allow you to open an account if they were one of your creditors.

The glimmer gets brighter all the time
