Posted - 16 June 2009 : 13:45:50 hi ive been in an iva now for three months the problem is i had a work related injury last year which has affected my life im now in a situation where im having to have time off work and on half pay which will soon be no pay my wage is no longer guaranteed to be the same every month and one of the reasons i got into debt was my injury so is bankruptcy the better choice for me as i have no assets of any kind.

As gettingoutofdebt says, BR may be the best option for you. You will be able to start again.
To do so now, if your IP can't help, would be to let the IVA fail by missing three payments which you could use to fund your BR court costs.

Posted - 16 June 2009 : 15:08:01 If you can't continue with the IVA and your wages have been cut then BR may be the only way out.
Speak to your IVA IP and see if there is anything they can do or suggest regarding the issue. There may not be as the IVA hasn't been running very long and the financial prospects for the future don't look good but it is worth a try.
