Hi all can anyone tell me if a discharged bankrupt can be given power of attorney. My mother in law is very ill and likely to want my husband to deal with her finances, he is about to get early discharge from bankruptcy. Also if he were to inherit from will would the or still be able to claim the money. Many thanks
Ange

I am not 100% sure about the power of attorney but don't see why not. If the inheritance was received while BR then the OR would claim the money but if it is received once you are discharged (either early or automatic) then the money is yours to keep.
