Posted - 18 June 2009 : 05:38:50 Hi Shark Attack I belive the above is correct, How ever if the council Tax is in Joint names the other partner will be liable,unless both are going BR, The same as a joint bank account,This is what my council had told me, I had got to the 3 missed payments and they were going to take me and my wife too court.

Posted - 17 June 2009 : 21:18:42 Yes as long as it is included in your BR applicastion. Council Tax is something that was included in ours.
The arrears were wrote off and a new account opened.
