Posted - 18 June 2009 : 12:11:24 ihave been checking the insolvency register as the or wrote to me about six weeks ago saying that i may be entitled to a early discharge and i had to fill in a ie form we went bankrupt on 06 jan 2009. i looked today on the ir and to my surprise it says i have had a early discharge i have had no correspondance from the or re this is this the norm |

Posted - 18 June 2009 : 13:21:51 You can search the Insolvency Register at http://www.insolvency.gov.uk/eiir/.
It's updated on a daily basis as far as I know. I was declared BR on a Monday afternoon and on the Tuesday my details were on the site.
If your friend is still shown as BR and shouldn't be there is a 'report error' link at the bottom of the page. |

Posted - 18 June 2009 : 12:24:35 How ofern does this get updated, I was told I may get early discharge prob to happen in june, however just checked and my friends still shows bankcrupt and its over a year ago. Do you have a link so I can see the early discharge wrote so i know what im looking for and where? |

Posted - 18 June 2009 : 12:18:47 Well done on the ED. Whether the OR communicates the ED with you or not seems to depend upon the OR. I don't think they are obliged to inform you although they do normally tell you that you may be entitled to ED when they are starting the process. |
