Posted - 18 June 2009 : 20:57:54 Well got my visa debit card from Coop and the blurb to say it repplaces electron I went to do some shopping online from tesco and suprisingly it states "Doesnt accept electron" so I guess they have just rebranded the electron card but it is still one of them. Think I will stick with Thinkbanking for my bank account and clearcash for my spending account

It states on the card Visa Debit and says that on the blurb leaflet it replaces the electron card, its an embossed card with the same numbers accross it as an Electron card, so I would assume that it is Electron without the electron Badge

Posted - 19 June 2009 : 07:45:16 Thanks for the info Stu. There has been a lot of talk about the Co-op Cashminder accounts replacing Visa Electron cards with Visa Delta cards. Does the card now just say 'Visa Debit' rather than 'Visa Electron'?
Unless the blurb mentions that it can still only be used in shops that display the Electron sign it is going to be confusing to a lot of people. |
