Posted - 24 June 2009 : 16:51:00 HI I have been told by my insolvency practitioner that personal bankruptcies are no longer published in local newspapers as of April this year. Please can you confirm. I live in Berkshire - in Maidenhead. If it is to appear in a newspaper can you please tell me which one. I will be attending Reading Court I believe or possibly Slough.

Posted - 24 June 2009 : 19:02:35 If the OR thinks that you have been dishonest in listing your creditors and there may be more out there then they would probably publish in the paper. The same would probably be true if you were to get a BRU.

It's now at the discretion of the OR whether a BR is posted in the local paper so unfortunately I can't say for definite if yours will be. I'm sorry, I don't know which papers cover your area.
