Posted - 30 June 2009 : 15:07:36 I am Bankrupt and my dects had nothing to do with the Gas and Electric, so i owe them nothing and keep up with my budget account repayments, so i get a quarterly bill, do i have to inform the supplier i am BR or will they hear about it anyway ? I want to keep quarterly bills as i live some way from any shop that could take tokens and i have someone disabled who i could not leave. |

Posted - 30 June 2009 : 15:19:47 Hi DebtandWorry,
I have continued with my energy suppliers since I became bankrupt in March this year and I receive my quaterly bills without any problem. I didn't inform them of my bankruptcy as they were not one of my creditors, so no reason for them to know. As long as you don't owe them any money, you should have no problems.

Posted - 30 June 2009 : 15:14:11 Don't bother telling them unless they ask. You are only obliged to tell companies that you want credit from that you are BR and this isn't credit.
Provided you are up to date with your payments (you say you are) then there shouldn't be any problem remaining with the same company. |
