Sorry I have another question whilst ploughing through the bankruptcy forms. I have got to Section 4 list of creditors.I have no secured debts as I do not own my home. Apart from a loan all my debt is with credit cards/storecards. Do I put these under unsecured creditors or under credit cards. If they go under credit cards I dont have enough space so where do I go from there. There seems to be an awful lot of spaces for unsecured creditors but not credit cards.

Hi MrsRoller,
As Gettingoutofdebt said just double check the type of card prints out but also the addresses of the credits cards etc. as I clicked on "Search by postcode" and found they did not print the full address. I then had mad dash at the court to find all the addresses. The clerk gave me 15 mins to find the addresses or I would have lost my appointment. A kindly lad in the court found some for me from his mobile phone. I had not noticed the omission when I printed them out. I think I did get the clerk from hell at Birmingham howeversome may be a bit more helpful.

Just to add to the above, if you do not have room in any section you carry on in section 13 at the very back

I wouldn't worry too much about the exact date; just put the rough month and the year if you can't remember. The OR can get the details from the credit card company if they really need it.

Thank you, how accurate does the date obtained have to be as these cards are years old some over 10 years, how do I get the dates.

The credit cards go under both sections. In the 'Unsecured Creditors' section, out in the outstanding amount and then in section 5.2 you just put the type of card along with the number, supplier and date obtained.

If you are completing the forms online make sure you check the 5.2 section once you have printed out the forms as the 'Type of Card' i.e. Visa, Mastercard, etc. wasn't completed once the form had printed out.
