I've got a job interview next week, and if I am successful a CRB check is required. Will my bankruptcy show up on a CRB check?

Thanks

I think Caroline is just concerned about her job interview, not her ability to be able to work because she is worried bankrupt.

She could phone the HR anonymously to see if it is an issue. Otherwise I wouldn't bother.

As Suzanne says, don't worry about the CRB check.

The glimmer gets brighter all the time

If the bankruptcy is causing you alot of stress and may affect your ability to work then I would "have a quiet word" with your manager so that they are aware what you are going through that way you wont be seen as not interested in the job

I shall indeed keep my mouth shut - thanks for the advice!

Yeah, I know what you mean. I wouldn't feel inclined to tell them, if it doesn't affect your ability to do your job then it is really your business. If it is a matter that is important to them they would probably ask you anyway. In general I would keep shtum unless asked directly.

lol - fair point!

I just wondered whether I should tell them or not - know what I mean?!

No it won't show up on a CRB as that is a criminal check and bankrupts aren't criminals.
