Posted - 11 August 2009 : 13:48:25 My husband was made bankrupt in February. We owed money to BT (in his name)who cut us off in March. I tried to get the phone line put in my name, but BT said they would only do this if we paid a £900 deposit - the amount we owe them, and would refund us in 6 months if we made all the payments. We have since tried to go with another provider and BT is refusing to hand the line over. Can anyone advise me? Thanks

You need to talk to OFCOM; http://www.ofcom.org.uk/contactus/ as they should be able to help you deal with BT as they are not treating you fairly.
