No, tax will not be deducted this month. With the speed that the Public Sector moves there is no way that they will get everything sorted by the end of this month.

I think you will have to wait until you get your payslip, but I doubt they will have implemented it that quickly.

The glimmer gets brighter all the time

so they will still deduct tax this month?

gettingoutofdebt Posted - 04 September 2009 : 18:47:22
You would have a NT tax code but this would take 2 or 3 months to implement so this month's salary is definitely safe. As you are leaving the country for a few months that the NT tax code probably won't be applicable to you.

thanks gettingoutdebt.will i have a nil tax now because im br?and if,do i need to pay my OR for part of my salary?what will happen to my salary this month, can i keep them?

The OR will look at the last time you used the cards and the last time you paid them but if this was the only way you could buy food and didn't withdraw the money to spend on luxury goods then I can't see it being a problem. Just be honest with the OR and you will be fine.

thanks gettingoutofdebt,i dont think if i will have an ipa because i dont have income when i go home and in my soa,my expenditures are more than my income.last june i took out a £100 from my credit cards its because i dont have money to buy foods.will this one be a problem?

What you told her is fine. You were honest and that is the main thing. Even if your current income would result in an IPA (i.e. you had more than £99 DI), IPAs can take up to 3 months to set up and you are free to use the cash that would normally be paid into an IPA as you wish so there is no problem using your salary to buy a ticket home.
